- Stretching daily can help you increase flexibility to avoid stiffness of the muscles and poor posture. Yoga, pilates, and swimming are some of the common activities that could help you become flexible.
- Use and learn good technique to strenghten your back can help such as using carts to lighten carrying of heavy things.
- Tone and build your muscles. Increasing your overall body strength can help you in carrying or with squatting to lift heavy items. This will avoid muscle pain and back pain.
- In order to have muscular endurance and cardiovascular fitness, do some aerobics exercises. For instance, walk and run for 20 minutes at least 3 times a week.
- Always remember to do some warm-up exercises to avoid muscle pain and injury.
-Don’t stay in one position for a long time like sitting. Try to get up for a while then stretch or walk around.
- Just like in sitting, you should avoid standing in the same position for a long time. Remain good posture with your chest out and stomach in.
- When sleeping, try to sleep in a manner that keeps the natural curve of your back. Also sleep in a mattress that is firm, but not hard enough.
- Improve your health to decrease the tendency of back pain. Smoking and obesity decrease the possibility of having good posture and a quality life.
